Excellent science, research and innovation are essential for a sustainable development of the European economy. This was the motto of the conference “Re-Industralisation of the EU 2016” held in Bratislava. The mutual discussion was led about nanotechnologies, advanced materials, manufacturing and production technologies, and biotechnology with the aim to emphasize and explore the role of science, research and innovation in the both sustainable development of the European economy, but especially in the process of re-industrialisation of Europe.
The Faculty of Engineering of the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra was represented at the conference by the Department of Electrical Engineering, Automation and Informatics with the model of a device “1PhEnergyOn”, which was designed by its employees and is currently in the international patent proceedings. The device offers solution ensuring continuous power supply for single-phase appliances. In addition to device presentation itself, the department representatives wanted to find the potential industrial partners and investors. The employees of the Department of Transport and Handling attempted to clarify the issues of the mentioned fields to students of the master degree as well. Together they had great opportunity to obtain interesting information on workshops and exhibition of their own choice, as well as on innovations in the field of technical solutions and technology, which were presented also by poster session. The participants evaluated the comfortably and usefully spent day positively, and especially the students expressed hope for similar events in the future.
